5 Supplies You Need To Clean Your Agricultural Drone

If you have purchased an agricultural drone to use on your farm, you are going to want to make sure that you keep it clean. Taking care of the drone and keeping it clean will help ensure that it lasts a long time. Here are the five supplies you need to keep on hand to clean it with.

#1 Microfiber Cloth

You don't want to scratch your drone or leave behind lint on the camera when you wipe it down, which is why you want to invest in a set of microfiber cloths. Purchase a set of microfiber clothes as you'll need more than one. You can use these to wipe down the outer surfaces quickly.

#2 Isopropyl Alcohol

The best cleaning agent for your drone is not anything fancy. The best cleaner is some basic isopropyl alcohol. You are going to want to use isopropyl alcohol that is at 99%. It will be able to clean off just about anything that gets on your drone, from grass stains to oil to dirt to bugs.

Just add some isopropyl alcohol to your microfiber cloth for a deeper clean. Make sure that you lightly add the isopropyl alcohol to the cloth; you don't want it to be dripping wet, just a little damp with the alcohol.

Some people find the smell of isopropyl alcohol to be rather strong, so you may want to use a face mask and wear rubber gloves while cleaning with it.

#3 Compressed Air

A can of compressed air can be a great cleaning tool. Canned air will allow you to easily and quickly blow away dust and dirt that gets in between small spaces and areas that are harder to clean with your microfiber cloth. This will also help ensure that you are able to keep your circuit board and motors clean without damaging them at all.

#4 Soft Cleaning Brush

You are going to want to have a soft cleaning brush on hand so you can clean the little crevices. This is a great tool to have when the compressed air just won't get the job done. If you can't find a soft cleaning brush that is on the smaller side, pipe cleaners work really well for this. You'll just have to throw them away when you are done using them.

#5 Lubricant

Finally, you are going to want to have a lubricant on hand if the model you bought requires the use of lubrication. Make sure that you have the right type of lubricant as recommended by the drone manufacture.
